Andreas Fell
Andreas is the creator of Quokka3 and renowned expert for silicon solar modelling. He performed his PhD work at Fraunhofer ISE, Germany, on the topic of modeling and simulation of laser processes for silicon solar cells. From 2011 – 2015 Andreas was a research fellow at the Australian National University developing laser processes and device simulation capabilities for silicon solar cells. At ANU he created Quokka3's free predecessor Quokka, which became a popular tool for silicon solar cell simulations since its release in 2013. In 2016 and 2017 Andreas did hold a Marie-Curie fellowship placed at Fraunhofer ISE, dedicated to developing Quokka3 and advancing solar cell modeling. Since then a strong collaboration with Fraunhofer ISE is kept by Andreas being a part-time employee next to his Quokka3 business.
Friedrich Fell
Friedrich developed and maintains the web-services to access and manage Quokka3 on cloud-servers. He holds master in Computer Science, and is now working at the University of Würzburg as a Full-Stack Web Developer. The similarity in last name and physical appearance with Andreas is no coincidence.
EU support
The main development of Quokka3 took place within the Marie-Curie fellowship "Quokka maturation", part of Horizon 2020.
